How Ledgr handles your data.
Ledgr reads supported bank transaction SMS to track spending automatically. Your data stays on your phone by default. AI reports are optional.
Ledgr filters for transaction alerts from Standard Chartered, Eastern Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, and BRAC Bank. That's how it tracks spending without manual entry. It does not use personal messages, group chats, or OTPs for tracking.
Your transaction history, categories, and merchant mappings are stored on your device. The core app works entirely offline. Nothing is uploaded by default.
If you choose to enable AI reports, Ledgr sends summarized spending context to generate the AI Spend Report and full Spending Report. Raw SMS content is never transmitted. You can use the dashboard, categorization, and challenges without AI.
During beta, Ledgr can sync bounded aggregate usage signals so we can understand which parts of the app are useful. These metrics do not include raw SMS, merchants, notes, phone numbers, email addresses, or transaction details.
