Questions
Why does Ledgr need SMS access?
Ledgr reads transaction alerts from your bank — that's how it tracks spending without manual entry. It only processes messages from SCB and EBL, not your personal texts.
Is my data stored on your servers?
No. Your transaction data stays on your phone. The only time data leaves your device is if you opt into AI insights, which use aggregated spending data — never raw SMS.
Which banks are supported?
Standard Chartered Bangladesh and Eastern Bank Limited. More banks will be added as the beta grows.
Is AI required?
No. AI insights — forecasts, spending personality, savings radar — are entirely optional. The core app works without them.
Do I need to log expenses manually?
Never. Ledgr parses every bank SMS into a structured transaction automatically. You can optionally categorize merchants for better organization.
Is this Android only?
Yes, for now. Ledgr is an Android-native app in closed beta.
